Signing up with Lufkin Electricity is a simple and easy process.

 

You have two options for completing the order for service:

Sign-Up-Phone_Lufkin (1)First Option: Call 936-465-9563 to place the order by phone. We are available Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. It only takes about five minutes. Most customers prefer this method as we’re able to answer any questions you may have.

Signup LufkinSecond Option: Follow this link to our secure Ambit Customer Enrollment Page. Click “Rates and Plans”  then just follow the directions on completing the secure web form. Call us at 936-465-9563 with any questions regarding the form. Refer to the question/answers below, and the FAQ page for further information on the process.

As a safeguard for the consumer, once your form has been submitted, you will receive a Verification Call to confirm your request. This is to confirm the exact address and protect you from being “switched” without your express permission.

By the way, there is no need to contact your current provider and there is no cost to switch.

Once I am a Lufkin customer, who do I call if the power goes out?

You will call the same Local Wires Company you would call right now. In the Lufkin area, this company is Oncor. This company DOES NOT sell electricity; they only maintain the wires/poles and read our meters. A 24 hour emergency service phone number will be provided on your bill. That number for this area is 800-332-7143.

How long will it take for the switch to “take effect?”

The switch will take place at the next regularly scheduled meter reading at your home and you can determine this date by a review or your bill. For most Lufkin residents, the meter is read around the 15th of the month. Feel free to give us a call to help with that determination. (Note: By law, the switch cannot take place until 10 days AFTER your request to switch has been submitted)

When will I receive my free 2 night-stay hotel voucher?

As soon as the order is complete, your voucher will be sent to you in an envelope along with a “Welcome” letter. This coupon is good in 25 cities across the U.S. San Antonio is one of those cities. You are responsible for the approximately $12-15 per night hotel taxes. Still a great deal on a $98 per night room.

Can I pay my bill online?

Yes. Upon enrollment you will be given all the details regarding your option to pay your bill online. You will be provided website access to all details regarding your account including usage history, reward point amounts, and all bill pay options.
